Suction filter element (suction filter)
1. Installation Location
At the compressor suction side and the upstream of the evaporator return line, the unit’s first-stage protective filter element.
2. Product Features
Filters gaseous refrigerant to remove weld slag, metal debris, dust, and pipeline oxidation impurities, preventing hard particulates from entering the compressor cylinder and valve plates. This eliminates cylinder scoring, valve‑plate wear, and liquid‑hammer‑induced secondary failures, while stabilizing the unit’s suction pressure differential.
3. Replacement Cycle
Under normal circumstances, it is recommended to disassemble and inspect the equipment during annual maintenance, and to decide whether to replace it or continue using it based on the condition.
Oil separator filter element (oil separator filter)
1. Installation Location
Compressor discharge port → Inside the oil separator housing, the high-pressure oil–gas separation core component.
2. Product Features
It separates the refrigerant‑oil mist entrained in the high‑pressure refrigerant gas, returning more than 99% of the lubricating oil to the compressor crankcase; it also reduces the amount of lubricant carried by the refrigerant into the condenser and evaporator, where it would otherwise adhere to the tube walls, thereby enhancing heat‑transfer efficiency, lowering oil consumption, and preventing oil accumulation that could cause blockages.
3. Replacement Cycle
It is recommended to replace the component every 2–3 years; if the equipment operates continuously without shutdowns, the replacement interval should be shortened based on actual operating conditions.
Oil filter element (oil filter cartridge)
1. Installation Location
Oil pump discharge line, oil circulation system, and precision filtration of lubricating oil.
2. Product Features
It is available in two types: coarse and fine filter elements, which trap metallic wear particles, carbon deposits, and resinous impurities from the refrigeration oil. This ensures clean lubricant is delivered to the rotor and bearings for effective lubrication and cooling, maintaining stable oil pressure and reducing internal compressor wear as well as high‑temperature trip failures.
3. Replacement Cycle
For the first startup, it is recommended to replace the device every three months; thereafter, replacement should be performed every six months.
